The BA School of Banking and Finance representation, management and decision-making bodies are Constitutional Assembly, Senate, Rector, Academic Court for Settling Disputes and Audit Commission.

According to the order of Latvia Republic Cabinet of Ministers, The rector of BA School of Business and Finance is Dr Liga Peiseniece.

Following the Rector’s recommendation, the Senate elected a Counselor Convention. Leaders in the area of entrepreneurship and finance of state, private and non-government sector who have promised to participate in promoting BA development according to the interests of society as well as to participate in the solution of educational issues representing BA in business contacts at the state level.

The student self-government – BA Student Council regularly represented students in BA decision- making institutions and maintained a dialogue with the administration and organized student extra-curriculum activities.

The general staff of BA consists of 106 employees. BA academic staff form 43 elected academics and 73 invited lecturers. BA academic staff is divided into four departments: Finance Department, Management Department, Entrepreneurship and Business Informatics Department and Foreign Language Department. The majority of elected academic staff is assistant professors – 60%. Professors and associate professors are 26% of the academic staff of BA, 19% are lecturers. The size of the personnel was planned and maintained according to the main trends and goals of the strategic development taking into account the specifics of the activities of BA, analyzing the results and determining the required competences. BA supports the professional development of the academic staff and the application of their potential. The academic staff is encouraged to participate in administrative work as experts or working on their own. The administrative staff with relevant education is provided with the opportunity to improve their qualification to enable them to do academic work. According to the collective agreement, BA employees have the opportunity to do any study programme free of charge as well as study at any other higher educational establishment in Latvia with a 50% discount.
