On May 14 this year, the Riga Technical University football field hosted the annual Latvian football competition for students, in which the BA School of Business and Finance football team competed against Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), Riga Technical University (RTU), Latvian University of Life Sciences and Technology (LBTU) and the Riga School of Economics (SSE). BA School of Business and Finance football team won 3 rd place in its group at the mini-football tournament. Congratulations!

Player of the football team of BASBF Kārlis Džeriņš will share more of his impressions: “The football team of the BA School of Business and Finance is returning to the Latvian Student Football stage after a gap of several years. After equal struggles with teams from schools such as RSU and RTU, the quarterfinals suffered a painful loss in post-match blows against principled opponent SSE. Yet the spirit of the team is alive once more and looking forward to the next games!”

“Very happy for the BASBF team where each of the guys gave up all the strength to represent his and the school honour. With the team playing virtually no shifts, several teammates suffered injuries but continued to play with gritted teeth despite that. The spirit and unity of the team were what had been so missed after the long COVID pause.”
