LSC expert rights
In order to provide independent expertise for scientific research projects and programs, as well as doctoral theses, expert commissions of the Latvian Science Council are formed. Qualified scientists of the relevant field are elected as members of the expert commission, who observe the criteria of scientific research ethics and discussion principles in their activities. The procedure for the election of experts is determined by Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 724 of December 12, 2017 “Regulations on the qualification criteria of experts of the Latvian Science Council, the establishment of expert commissions and the organization of their activities”.
