Laboratory of Financial Intermediation and Compliance Competence of the BA School of Business and Finance
It was created by the decision of the Senate of the BA School of Business and Finance (BASBF) on May 31, 2016.
The Laboratory of Financial Intermediation and Compliance Competence of the BASBF is a structural unit of the university as a scientific institution, the purpose of which is to conduct research, create platforms for social dialogue and implement qualification improvement measures adapted to the situation of current problems of the financial services sector and compliance risks, competence and control systems.
The name of the laboratory is Financial Services and Compliance Laboratory, abbreviated as FSC Lab
Laboratory tasks:
- conduct research in the field of development and compliance competence of the financial services sector (for academic purposes, as well as fulfilling orders from public and private sector partners);
- promote the involvement of university students in research;
- participate in the implementation and improvement of university study programs;
- create further training, formal and informal professional development courses and programs in accordance with the laboratory’s competence and direction of activity;
- provide consultations and create a discussion environment in Latvia and internationally on topics relevant to the laboratory’s specialization
