On successful graduation of the programme, the graduates obtain the Diploma of the first level professional higher education, and the qualification: “Accountant” which corresponds to the 4 th professional qualification level and it corresponds to level 5 of the Latvian Qualification Framework (LGF) and European Qualification Framework level 5. The obtained qualification means that the graduate has acquired necessary competences to carry out accountancy with the compliance of normative Acts.

Specific admission requirements:
Immatriculation, that is the enrolment in the study programme is organized according to the Enrollment Regulations of the School, which are being endorsed by the Senate for each coming academic year.

Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning:
For recognition of non- formal and informal learning there is a legal framework to promote and implement lifelong learning. On January 10, 2012, the Cabinet of Ministers issued “Rules of Procedure for Recognition of Learning outcomes in Prior Learning or professional experience”, Number 36. The procedural documents have been developed by the School and endorsed by the Senate.( hyperlink) Lifelong learning activities have been designed to facilitate LLL. Programmes are designed with Learning outcomes which ensures transparency and comparability. ECTS is applied to lifelong learning. General arrangement for the recognition of non- formal and informal learning are explained in the Rules of Procedure for the Recognition of Prior Learning ( hyperlink) which were endorsed by the Senate in 2012. The document explains the process, the criteria and the recognition.

- To acquire general and course specific course learning outcomes
- To acquire optional course learning outcomes
- Has to do a company placement
- Has to prepare and defend the Qualification work.
Profile of the programme:
To prepare accountants corresponding to the 4 th level professional qualification standard and who are competent in company finances, are able to work complying with professional ethics, are able to work as accountants both in companies in Latvia and in international companies, as well as who are able to set up their own business in accountancy service area. The students study under the guidance of experienced and professional academic staff and acquire 150 ECTS (100 Latvian credits). The students have international study environment. The students are eligible to study under Erasmus exchange programme. They have also the opportunity to study with international academic staff from partner universities.

- are able to understand the latest economical development trends and company business principles;
- are able to apply knowledge in order to do record keeping of all economic activities in compliance with normative Acts of the Republic of Latvia;
- are able to draw statistical , accountancy and tax reports in compliance with normative Acts;
- are able to carry out cost accounting, price calculations, as well as carry out the analysis of a company financial data, financial planning and drawing up a budget;
- are able to assess the financial situation of the company, take decisions concerning usage of funds within the competence of job requirements

Graduates carry out accountancy and record keeping tasks as an accountant in a company, as well as self- employed person, is able to carry our duties of an accountant in outsourcing companies.

The graduates with the obtained Diploma of the Qualification are eligible for further studies in Bachelor programme
