Students from our partner universities may study at BA School of Business and Finance as Erasmus exchange students for one semester or one full academic year. The autumn semester starts at the beginning of September and might end in January with exams and re-exams. The spring semester starts at the end of January and lasts till the middle of June. Applications should be made no later than by June 14, 2024 for the autumn semester and November 22, 2024 for the spring semester. The main requirement is that you must have completed at least one year of higher education at your university.

If you are interested in a student exchange period at BA School of Business and Finance, please contact your home institution’s international office. The home institution selects the candidates for student exchange. After you have been selected by your home institution to be a candidate for student exchange, your university has to nominate you to BA School of Business and Finance. After nomination, you will receive a notice from BA School of Business and Finance to proceed application.

All exchange students are expected to complete a Learning Agreement which should define the courses they wish to follow during the exchange period. Learning agreements should be signed by you and the Erasmus coordinator and/or another officially authorized representative in your home country before your departure. Exchange programme for foreign students has been integrated into the Bachelor’s dual degree programme INTERNATIONAL FINANCE.

  2. Learning Agreement – our institution is using EWP system and online learning agreement, we would highly recommend to design your LA online. Nevertheless, we may proceed with the regular version of the document as well.
  3. Confirmation of English proficiency;
  4. Passport/ ID card copy.
  5. Please note that you are obliged to provide yourself with the necessary medical insurance!

To apply for Erasmus studies students shall complete an application form and present other requested documents, and send a scanned copy of them by e-mail to: erasmus@ba.lv

  • Fall semester application deadline June 14, 2024
  • Spring semester application deadline November 22, 2024
Study Semester
  • Fall semester runs from September 2, 2024 till January 24, 2025
  • Spring semester runs from February 3, 2025 till June 20, 2025

*Semesters starts and ends at working days only, dates can vary depending on the calendar.

Covid-19 Related Rules

From 01.04.2022, the requirement to present a valid vaccination or infection certificate or a negative Covid-19 test certificate for entering Latvia has cancelled.
